What is a Closed Deck Pallet?

Closed deck pallet also named solid top pallet, or flat deck pallet. A closed deck pallet does not only refer to a double-sided solid pallet. Whether it is a nine-leg pallet, three-runner pallet, full perimeter base pallet, or reversible pallet, it can be called a closed deck pallet as long as the top deck has a solid and fully closed surface.

Are These Closed Deck Pallets Suitable for Racking Systems?

Not all of them. For closed deck pallets, you need to consider not only the bottom structure but also whether the pallet includes steel reinforcement pipes. If the rack load reaches 1 ton and the rack does not have support panels or crossbars, you need a heavy-duty pallet with built-in steel pipes.

Our reinforced closed deck pallets have been tested with rack deflection below 20 mm, making them suitable for unsupported racking systems. Most 9-leg closed deck pallets on the market are not designed for racking use and are better suited for floor storage.

Are These Closed Deck Pallets Suitable for Pallet Jacks?

Except for double-sided closed deck pallets, which are only suitable for forklift handling due to their bottom structure, all other closed deck pallet models are compatible with pallet jacks.
